18 Month To-Be Jean Skirt Tutus

Lots to choose from for 18 month, including several overalls!

"XXS", these 12-18 month RED overalls are a lightweight couderoy. They have straps that button in the back as well as snaps up the back to make them easier to put on a squirming (or running) toddler. On the front pocket there are yellow and orange flower in an embroidered stitch. These would be fun with a sunshine yellow or orange tutu.

Lucky you, my little girl already has an overalls tutu (and has outgrown 18 month clothes)... because otherwise I would totally keep these for her! They are a medium blue, 12-18 month with a heart and flowers (pink, yellow, red, lavender) embroidered on the front pocket. The straps loop through and snap - easy for potty training - and there are snaps on the sides. There are matching flowers that I can transfer up to the back pockets. They would be great with baby or bubblegum pink, lavender, red, or a yellow tutu.

18 months, these overalls are a true plum color (a little darker than shown in the picture). They are made with an almost velvety cotton fabric, kind of a cross between a lightweight courderoy and crushed velvet / suede. They have button straps and buttons on the sides. The pocket has pretty lavender and white embroidered flowers. One of the back pocket has matching embroidery and the front pocket has a little bit of plum lace up the middle. These would be adorable with a lavender tutu.

These lightweight, medium blue 18 month overalls seem to be a little roomier. They have button straps and buttons on the sides. On the front is a cross-stitched embroidered rose and butterfly, which I would probably cover up with a large flower - since it's not very visible. Also on the front is a light blue heart applique / patch with a matching one down on the pant that I could transfer up. This would be cute with a baby blue or mint green tutu.

Pretty medium blue with baby pink stitching, these 18 months have little pink hearts on the ribbets and button. These would look great with a baby or bubblegum pink, turquoise, or purple tutu.

Girly dark blue (slightly darker than picture), 18 month with a cute pink flower button and some matching pink stitching. These have some gathering on the pockets. These would be great with a bubblegum or fuscia pink... or any cool color.

18 month, dark medium blue, these have are a little roomier and have an adjustable waistband. On the brass ribbets, they have a tree design. Back pockets are kind of cargo style and have stitching straight across them. These would go great with any color you can think of.

Medium blue & white striped, these are what's referred to at my house as "train pants" because the a pattern is typical to a train conductor's hat. 18 months with a stretchy waistband in the back. Would be very cute with a red tutu and a train button embellishment.

12 Month To-Be Denim Tutus

I have lots in inventory for 12 months!

These medium blue overalls are darling with an embroidered pocket on the front and a patch that I plan on transferring up. They are a 12 month with traditional overall hook straps and snaps on the sides. These would look great with fuscia, lavender, or apple green to match the stitching.

These 12 month are a medium blue with a fuscia pink button hole (think Barbie pink), just a touch of girl. Pockets and the rest of them are plain, but I can add flowers to any of my designs. A fuscia pink and / or purple tutu would work well, but you could really go with any cool color.

These plum purple 12 months aren't actually denim, but a sturdy cotton with a stretchy waistband in the back. Gathering on the pockets adds just enough pretty detail. The purple in the picture is a little bit off. In actuality, it has a little bit of a pink tone to it. Don't know quite how to describe it but "a very grapey plum" color. The purple and lavender tulle that I have would look a little bit off, so I suggest going with a contrasting color: baby or bubblegum pink, possibly turquoise, white, or black...even a chocolate brown.

This dark medium blue 12 month has a little bit of bright pink stitching on the pockets and the button hole, matching a cute pink flower button. Stretchy waistband in the back, the pockets have gathering and the rest of it is plain. Would be cute with any of the cool colors: any of the pinks, purples, blues..... with matching flowers.

12 months, medium blue, with a stretchy waistband in the back, these have heart ribbets on the corners of all the pockets that match the heart on the center button. The stitching on these is white and they would match absolutely any color your heart desires!

12 months, with a stretchy waistband, these are a light stonewashed denim with lavender stitching. The button has some worn pink and the back pockets have the basic Levi stitching in lavender. These would be precious with a baby pink or lavender tutu.

These medium blue 12 months have an adjustable waistband and white stitching. The finished product will not include the side cargo pockets (seen at the bottoms), though I could make them smaller and transfer them to the back to make back pockets. These would look great with any color.

Medium blue, these 6-12 months have a stretchy waistband in the back and baby blue buttons on the sides (buttons do not come undone very easily). Cute baby pink bow in the front could be left on or replaced with a satin bow or flower. This would be adorable with a baby pink and blue tutu.

These are really stinking cute, 12 months with a baby pink sequins belt sewn on with a heart faux rhinestone buckle. They have a stretchy waistband in the back and baby pink stitching all over. On the cuffs are embroidered pink hearts and flowers, which I will transfer up. Would be very pretty with a baby pink, bubblegum pink, and fuscia pink tutu.

9 Month To-Be Jean Skirt Tutu

Twoo pairs of 9 month in stock....

This pair is a darker medium blue (a little bit darker than the picture shows) with bright pink embroidered snowflakes and a skating penguin. When finished the penguin will be skating just above the tutu. There's also couple more skating penguins on the cuff that I plan to transfer up. It is a 6-9m with a mostly stretchy waistband. This would look great with a bubblegum pink tutu...maybe a little white thrown into the mix.

Dark medium blue and a stretchy waistband in the back, these 6-9 month are adorable with baby pink stitching. There are embroidered pink flowers on the cuff, which I will transfer up. These would look fabulous with a bubblegum pink / turquoise tutu.

6 Month To-Be Jean Skirt Tutu

Going to do a short series of "To-Be Denim Tutus", since I've had a few custom requests. So here's the first.

Currently, this is my only pair of 6 month and it has a stretchy waistband in the back. It's a dark, dark denim and what you can't see in this picture is that it has gold glittery sparkles all over it. The gold seems to be woven into the fabric and doesn't rub off when touch - double plus!

I should have taken a picture of the backs... This pair has cute little pockets in the back with gold stitching across the pockets. The gold embroidery is loops that loop into hearts in the center.
It would look good with just about any color, but I'm thinking red or black...maybe something a little festive.

4th of July Onesie Tutu

With an expected high of 100F here in Colorado today, it's a good day to stay inside and blog..... about these cool tutu onesies! (If we reach 101F we'll break another Colorado record - 2 days in a row.)

I hadn't given tutu onesies much thought, though a little, until a customer requested one for the 4th of July. She had seen one on a retailer's website that she liked (manufactured), but wanted me to modify the design to be a 4th of July outfit. I did tutu ruffles similar to what I do on my leg warmers in red, white, and blue around the hips / waist of the tutu. In this picture the tutu isn't fluffed yet. Once all done the layers are fluffed to give a really poofed look. The bow she requested tops the tutu off very nicely.

She chose an American Flag Heart studded design for her tutu onesie. I want to learn to applique, but will have to have my aunt, an applique expert (IMO) to teach and give me a few pointers. (My mom's pretty good at it too.) Until then, it will have to be simple iron-on designs and adding embellishments - such as flowers.

It all came together with removing the sleeves and hemming it into a tank-style onesie and adding a fluff of tulle for cap sleeves.

Baby Girl loves to be upside-down. Here she is modeling my first tutu onesie run through. I wanted to make sure the tutu ruffles were anatomically lining up correctly. Sure enough, as low as they can be and right across the upper gluts and hips. Perfect. I could also do them down across the butt for some super cute bloomers, but then they would be sat on.

This one I did 3/4 around, leaving a gap in the front, like my customer's picture had. It looks a little bit odd like this on an older baby / toddler, especially without a design on the front yet. After adding the red ruffle, Nellie wore this out with long beaded necklaces. It was adorable, but I didn't have my camera or phone with to take a picture. The 3/4 wrapped tutu would be great for little babies that spend time on their tummy.

Here's the backside, tutu still needs fluffing. In my opinion, I like the tutu all the way across and around. This way it can be stand-alone cute. Imagine just this with a bow like above.

Completed with a red, silver, and blue guitar & stars design! We're a little bit of a rock 'n roll family (with hubby owning a recording studio and a self-proclaimed music freak), so I had picked up 2 of these designs.

I have a few more 4th of July designs left.... Be sure to use the coupon code "BIRTHDAY20" for 20% off your entire June order. Link to CUSTOM ONESIE TUTU listing.  I can do them in any size, Newborn through 2T.

A Rainbow Birthday

Hot Pink Peonie Headband with added tulle and rhinestone center.
I had a custom order this spring for a beautiful, spring rainbow outfit. It was for a special little girls' 1st birthday: tutu, leg warmers, onesie, and headband. I'm still loving the rainbows so much that I'm planning a photoshoot this summer with all rainbows. The question is "primary rainbow" or "spring rainbow" colors?

Fuscia Pink, Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Grass Green, Turquoise, and Purple

Didn't take many pictures of the leg warmers. Same colors as the tutu, trimmed with a satin and organza ruffle trim.

The "necklace onesie" with rainbow "beads", a "1", and birthday ribbon bow....all handsewn.

The "beads" on the necklace decoration are actually yoyos turned over and sewn on to give a puffy look. (The dark purple spots are shadow - eek.)

Ready for delivery all on a hanger: Hot Pink Peonie Headband, Rainbow Tutu, Rainbow Leg Warmers, Birthday Necklace Onesie. It was so exciting to see it all come together. Even more exciting though, was personally delivering it and seeing her little miracle try it on. Check out Facebook to see the birthday girl's birthday picture!

Jean Skirt Tutus!

It's June and we're celebrating Baby Girl's 2nd birthday! So be sure to use the coupon code "BIRTHDAY20" for 20% off your order. Here's the birthday girl herself, sporting my newest creation.

And, since Woody is in this picture too.... I should mention that Doggie Tutus and Bow Ties have been added to my crafts as well. Woody prefers the bow ties. These cute models are from a gal on Fiverr.com - since I have boy Bostons.

I've had the "denim tutus" on the back burner for awhile now and have finally gotten to making them.... Jean Skirt Tutus. Made with upcycled jeans cut into skirts and trimmed with a handtied tulle tutu. I've been playing with ways to do this and have decided that I like this method best.

Bright Pink Skirt with Purple Tutu & Flower (this one is a 3T skirt) and Matching Purple Flower Headband / Hair Clip

Baby Pink Trimmed Overalls Tutu (this one is a 0-3 month size). Don't have the matching headband / hair clip listed yet, but this Peonie would look great with it.
