Ordered some Baby Legs off Ebay about a month ago and they finally came! Baby Girl has never been one to keep socks on. It probably has something to do with being born late last June and no air conditioning at our house. (Those hot days aren't far away - as I await the forecasted snow to come and go.) So I pull her Baby Legs down onto her feet. Doing this also helps socks stay on when I do put them on her.
I'm so infatuated with the cuteness of Baby Legs, that I ordered a bunch to sell ($5 / pair) - and they came in the mail this week too. Not pictured here: pink w/ flowers & a ruffle, navy w/ teal stars, navy w/ cars, rainbow "I <3 Mom". Tonight I ordered supplies to make some funky ones.
My house is full of half-finished projects, like any true crafter's.

Pill-Box Creation
Took some time to myself last night to play with some new yarn. I began attempting to figure out a crocheted hat that I had picked up for Baby Girl ($15 at BRU). However, the yarn I used was quite a bit thicker and my stitches much tighter. So I decided to ditch the machine-assembled model and just create.
Finished it off with a crocheted rose & ribbon flower.
Leaps & bounds from my first hat creation (see "helmet-like, we need a hat while on vacation creation" below).... it's a little big, but will fit her nicely come this fall / winter.
Don't forget to like my Facebook page & tag yourself in the ORANGE DRAGONFLY picture to win a free headband of your choice! I just got my supplies in this afternoon and anticipate headbands to be available for purchase by the end of this weekend!

Tag the Orange Dragonfly!
Tag yourself in orange dragonfly picture on Facebook to win a free headband! When 50 people have been tagged in it, a winner will be chosen randomly. Winner will get to choose a headband from my new inventory (shipping included if you're not local).
I found out today that my supplies should get here Thursday! I'll have to carve out some time to get headbands put together this weekend....between company, a baseball game, getting the rest of my garden ready and - of course - playing with the kids. It will be a fun & busy weekend.
A list of headbands planned: Yellow and Lime roses ($3.50); Lavender, Purple, Light pink and Hot pink buttterflies ($3.00), Orange, Turquoise, Lavender, Purple, and Hot pink dragonflies ($3.00). Let me know if there's something you'd like right away...and I'll make those first.

Dragon Flies
Loving on the dragon flies! Baby Girl is getting better about leaving the headbands on too. She likes to take it off to inspect the dragon fly and then attempts to put it back on her head. Sometimes she plays peek-a-boo with it, her very favorite game. I've ordered supplies to make my first set of inventory. The dragon fly, butterfly and ice rose headbands will be $3 each (or 2 for $5) + shipping if not local. (Accept PayPal, cash, or check)

Mail's Here!!!
My first order of supply samples came in the mail. . . and I just had to take pictures right away! These headband embellishments are, in my sister's words, "whimsical". Butterflies, dragon flies and ice roses on crochet and soft cloth headbands. After our quick, little photoshoot the decision was which one should Baby Girl wear to the egg hunt this morning? I tried out the purple dragon fly clip in my hair, but alligator clips just slip right out. Will have to figure out how get it onto a hair binder - I've been dreaming up crocheted hair binder for us more grown-up girls. Something with beads, perhaps. Baby Girl went with the lavender butterfly today to match her light purple tights. She actually did a good job keeping it on today. At one point she took it off to inspect it, then attempted to put it back on her head.

Broken Claire's Turned Ribbon Creation
Baby Girl's headband from Claire's lost its flower... There was a big, ugly glue spot and a hole that needed repair where the flower had once been. So tonight I decided to fix it with some ribbon flowers. Maybe now - without the hard glue spot - she'll leave it on her head for a few more seconds. At least when she does get it off her head she won't be removing the flower(s) and stuffing them in her mouth. These babies are SEWN on!

Envisioning.....
"Ellie Grace" is still coming together in my mind, but will soon be real! I formally ordered my first batch of supplies the other night as I enjoyed the silence of a quiet house after kids, husband and dogs went to bed. A variety of sample supplies should be making their way to my door step and I'm excited to see them. Envision cutsie flowers, butterflies, and dragonflies...headbands, hair clips, hats...crocheting, knitting, and sewing...yarn, ribbons, and sparklies.
